Sage Software announced today that its Employer Solutions business will have a presence at the 10th Annual HR Technology Conference & Exhibition, to be held this week at the Navy Pier in Chicago. The company's products and services will be demonstrated across 400 square feet of exhibit space (Booth #1020), and the company will co-present a 75-minute education session on human capital management (HCM) and human resources (HR) technology with Perfumania, Inc., a $240 million, Sunrise, Fla.-based specialty retailer, and a Sage Software customer.

"Our annual participation at the HR Technology event provides an invaluable opportunity for us to connect with our loyal customers and the HR community at large," said Karl Grass, senior vice president and general manager for Employer Solutions at Sage Software. "We look forward to presenting a break-out session at this year's conference, and to demonstrating how our solutions help thousands of small and mid-sized businesses and organizations throughout North America better manage their human resources and payroll."

The HR Technology Conference & Exposition is the country's largest and leading event for all aspects of technology used in HR, with more than 200 exhibitors and 35 sessions. Sage Software's Employer Solutions business encompasses a range of HR, benefits, payroll, and time management software and processing services. The company will demonstrate Sage Abra HRMS, its award-winning human resource management system comprising HR, payroll, benefits, training, recruiting, and compliance solutions. The latest Sage Abra HRMS versions (7.6 and 8.3) feature both EEO-1 reporting changes and compatibility with the Microsoft® Windows Vista™ operating system. Sage will also demonstrate Sage TimeSheet and announce its new online HR compliance training solution at the HR Technology event.

On Thursday, October 11, at 1:45 p.m., Johnny Laurent, Sage Software's vice president for customer support, and Wendy Mahle, SPHR, vice president of human resources (HR) and payroll at Perfumania, will co-present a HCM conference session, titled "Sweet Smell of Success of Perfumania." Laurent will present general information on HR technology applications, and then turn the session over to Mahle, who will explain how a failure to upgrade their HR system left Perfumania in an expensive and unworkable situation; how the payroll department flatly refused one solution; and finally, how drawing on her considerable experience in vendor selections and implementations, she managed to find an appropriate HR technology solution.
